Word of the week 8/30: sar·don·ic (sär-don'ik) adj. Scornfully or cynically mocking. Synonym of sarcastic. When the perplexed principal asked her why she was wearing pink flamingo pajamas to her first period class, she replied in a sardonic tone, "It's because I feel like I live here anyway; I may as well move in. Word of the week 9/7: ob·tuse (?b?tus) adj. not quick or alert in perception, feeling, or intellect; not sensitive or observant; dull. Also, not sharp, acute, or pointed; blunt in form.
